how much flow are you looking at putting through your sump? a 1" drain will handle 600gph. 1 1/2" is something like 1100gph. there is a pipe size calc on the main RC page, on the lefthand side.

I am not sure the only thing I am planning to have down there is an ASM g-4X skimmer. I want the fuge to be in the two large chambers next to "A". Would it be better to do it that way or just plumb the drain to go directly to an external skimmer without the sump?

as it turns out...all I had to do to make it fit is remove the top trim....now I just have to move the molding down further on the canopy!! I am sooooooo excited!!

It looks nice but what a pain to have to get down there if you have to move something.You will need a pair of very long tongs.I think you will have to make them yourself.

yeah thats one of the things I didn't like about tall tanks...but I like their look!

Yes it looks nice when you have all that height.Just don't fall in when you are working on it.You will drown in there.It cleaned up nice and I like the aqua scape.I would have drilled the bottom and installed and OM 4 way or an 8 way.I have the 8 way and I like it.
