ok guys i got a slug infestation or what i think are slugs i cant get pics up at the moment but they came out of no where if you guys have any idea as to how to get rid of them i would like to hear them thanks
Are there such thing as "bad" slugs? According to google i have some stomatella varia, but I also have some black/dark brown slugs. They ok to be left in the tank?
Well they look like Stometella varia in terms of body shape and that little "shell" on their backs, but are much darker appear smoother (IMO stometella varia looks a little hairy)
They'll be good guys. If they aren't dark Stomatellas, they're probably Scutus species. Sometimes Stomatellas look hairy, sometimes they look smooth. It depends on whether their little "hairs" are extended/inflated. At least two different species of Stomatella are common hitchhikers, S. varia and S. impertusa.
well i have heard they are good for the tank but i have way to many and i would just like to get rid of some they make my tank look bad if you guys have any ways to get rid of em please send your ideas thanks
