Smoothdog's 150DD build

I think hell really did freeze over when I hooked up the ro/di. It was 15deg outside when I woke up this morning. seriously though, why did the coldest day of the year have to be the day I hooked it up? It's taking forever to fill the tanks up.

Well, after a couple long days its finally all wet. Not salty yet though. Also got the frag tank light hung. Found a few minor leaks in the threaded fittings and sealed them up. Now I'm just waiting on the heaters I forgot to order and a pendant for the large tank.

Wow first time I slowed down long enough to read threw the who thing.
Very Very impressive.
I was going to cut some corners on some stuff, but after seeing your work thats never going to happen. :)

Thanks Hershel! Some how I think your idea of cutting corners owners is only having 3 backup plans instead of 5 though.

Time for an update. Got a bunch of stuff done in the past couple of weeks.

Finally added salt last night so hopefully I'll be able to start transferring things from the old tank soon.

I hope that's just silicone and not a crack!!? Top, right corner.

Nice work Kirk  You got a lot a work done while the RC Admins were napping the last two weeks

That float switch bracket is pretty darn shweet! I'm going to need one of those...Where do I put in my order?...LOL

Item 57133. But check the dimension of the tube you are using. Mine was 5/8 outside 1/2 inside. Different wall thickness is available on the tubing.

Thanks! Don't know how I missed this when you posted it. This kind of stuff is easy to make with acrylic. If you want to bring a piece over I can show you how. Guess I should have added a step by step for how I did that. I think I'm going to modify that bracket and add a holder for the top off tubing too. It will hold the tubing so that the ro water will run over the float clearing any salt creep off of it automagically.

You'll have to post some pics of it when you get the automagical salt creep rinser modification done. I don't know when I'd be able to make it all the way over that way but I still might try and throw one together here.
