SMS module support

Hi to all new SMS module owners.

We started shipping the SMS modules last weeks, I assume some of you already received it and began to use it.

For this reason I created this new thread - please give us your feedback and experiences, if you have trouble or just questions this is the right place to post.

SMS installed and working fine
* I use a phone SIM card, not a data SIM card
* Spanish provider "Movistar" over GSM or GPRS
* Tried several alarms included level alarm with the appended info and works fine
* Tried to send a SMS to the device, it answers with the status of the sensors

Important hint (we forgot to mention this in the manual):

if you are accessing the ProfiLux via PLM-USB or PLM-(W)LAN you must enable the router function (see manual under communication) if you want to communicate with the connected SMS-module

Ok. Installed firmware ver 4.04 and updated PC software to 4.0.5.0 as directed in the SMS manual. Checked the box labelled "Search for SMS module" in the Connection settings and guess what, no SMS module found! Connecting to Profilux via USB and saw your above post and don't quite understand the router function. Baud rate is set to 9600 on both Profilux and COM port setting. GSM Network has been picked up as indicated by the slow-flashing red LED and status LED is constantly Orange. RS232 cable connected with SMS module to SMS module and Profilux to Profilux. I referred to the downloaded Manual for 4.0.5.0 under "Communication" and don't follow the Router function. Any help would be appreciated.

First install version 4.05 firmware.

How do you connect to the ProfiLux - RS232 or USB?

If RS232 cable should be

Grey - From ProfiLux to SMS

Black - From PC to SMS

Make sure you have cables going to the right ports.

I assume you are in Europe so please email Matthias for direct support as in North America things are different

Q: My ProfiLux control software does not show SMS?

A: Make sure you are using V4.05 profiLux control and V4.05 Firmware. On controller set COM1 to Router. Found under Extras - communication - COM1. This is done ON the ProfiLux NOT the software. Also in the connection set up in profiLux control, select SMS then save.

Q: SMS-module stops working (or resets) when connecting to PC or ProfiLux

A: The battery is still too low - give the device some minutes to charge the battery, then connect it

Finally i got my free time and i able to connect my SMS module. Pretty easy set up, even for me networking is my my field
I able to send text message, but how can i set up to get sensors data info?

You have two controllers networked together, it is not sure what one it is requiring to send the data of

As you are THE only client with two connected together i will get matthias to advise on this one

All this is done and i am getting text massesge on specific time, its not a problem. I cant figure out how to get my sensore data to show in the massege?

left click on screen you wish to send.

click alt then print screen then in email box right click then paste
