I DID IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Internal clock was the problem.. Some how i change it to computer time( dont know how) and after that problem was solved.
but before i couldnt change clock to computer time...any time i change it after 2-3 min boom..same 11.59pm..
so for the future, internal clock has to be the same as computer time

Hurray success, great you got there, now you can programme the ProfiLux to send you messages that the coffee has brewed as we all have a plug socket timed to our coffee machine dont we?

Joking aside, you have the most complex ProfiLux system in NA so for you to be up and running really tests this great device

Since 12/20 i am not getting any SMS from my controller, all settings remaining the same. Even "test" doesnt work..
I do getting SMS from other people. All lights on the module is "on", red is blinking...on SMS page it show that messenge been sent.
what could be wrong?...

You have run out of credit on your sim card

thats is only something you can answer, work out how many textes you NEED a day and then find out how much it is a text and then work out what you wish to purchase.

I've got, last week, my SMS-unit and I want to install before I leave my flat for hollidays.
I still have questions:
For the moment my profilux is not connected to a Pc and I did all the settings with the main unit only. Do I need to plug it to a Pc to do the settings of the SMS-Unit?
I have no optional extension card to connect to my Pc running Vista. How can I connect the SMS-unit to it? I have an other Pc with an RS232 port but running Win98; is it OK ?
finaly, can I use a SIM card copy of the one in my mobile phone or it has to be different and linked to an other phone number than mine?

Hi Axel,
yes, you need a PC for the settings. The settings are to manifold to manage them with the device only.
You can use a USB-RS232 converter. Win98 may work - test it. As far as I know some menus are without function but I don't think you need them for adjusting the SMS unit.
SIM card copy: I have no experiences with that - I don't know it.

I just can't live with someone having a bigger and more complicated system than me, so I went ahead and purchase another profilux EX and a SMS device..... LOL Now both will be linked lan and Wlan.... Now I can rest better! Well, done some playing with the SMS unit, and have found some very useful use for those digital input!!!!
I have hooked my alarm system to digital inputs and when there is an burglary alarm at my house I get an SMS from the profilux! I don't know if that what your had in mind when you put those matthias, but it's cool.
I have also had an issue with sim card, no mather what it would just not work in the profilux and worked fine in my phone, so when out and bought a new card and all was fine.
One question, there seem to be a limitation to the amount of text you put in the text field, why?

SMS card - the one for your phone would have been locked to your phone, I had same issue you need a new dedicated pay as you go, this is all to do with stopping sim fraud.
Excellent use for the alarm though
