Looks good. Do you have a FTS to show where it is in the tank?

Are you going to have it host any clowns eventually?

Kyle here is an FTS with my iPhone.

Current theres a pair of ocellaris in the tank and I now that its not the natural pairing, but this is really my 6yo's tank and he stocked the fish. If they dont host I'll look at adding a symbiont shrimp or crab, granting I can get it in before Harold the invert assassin meleanarus wrasse notices it.

Great looking tank, Matt. Thanks for sharing the FTS, just wanted to get an idea of where it was at around your rocks. Hope the clowns you have take to it eventually.

One of my LFSs seems to always get ocellaris and perculas to associate with haddonis, not sure how they do it.

This is the best blue Haddoni I have ever seen. Very nice.
How much light do you have on him?

Thank you very much. I am running 2 AI Sol Blues the long way over the tank, its a Deep Blue 57 Rimless.

I know that they take to haddonis often, Im not sweating it. I think a crab for the haddoni could be interesting to watch.

I was originally looking for a gig, but I searched for about 2 years for one locally and could not find one except for real high price tags that the wife would kill me for paying, so when I saw this guy I snatched him up after watching him in the LFS for a few days.

Yes the Smurf is doing very well. It has not moved since the re-scape and added more sand to the entire tank. Wednesday I took my Calcium Reactor offline and started to drip limewater seeing I am not keeping SPS in the tank any more and now my pH has been up to 8.22-8.26 depending on the time of day. I have a little diatoms going on since I added the sand but other than that everything is doing very well.

Thank you for the compliment on the anemone.

Very pretty :) You don't see them that blue very often! I had one that I sold to a fellow reefer that I called Papa Smurf LOL Smurf blue fits!

How much sand did you add?

So about 5 days ago I had to adjust my powerheads to take care of a dead spot that junk was accumulating in. So last night about 11PM I was heading up to bed and I glance over at the tank and see the anemone sitting on the rocks right on top of a pumpkin patch chalice. I threw some gloves on to check it out to, and it was attched to the rock. I aimed a powerhead towards it to see if I can get it to release so I did not have to try and remove it manually, after about 3 minutes it was completely released. I shut down the power heads and placed it in another low flow spot. In about 5 minutes I could see that it had its foot buried. So I hung out around the tank for another half hour to see what it was doing. I woke up this morning and so far it has not moved again. Gonna see if I can swing by during work to check in on it. I do have to say I like the spot its in right now, almost dead center of the tank. The downside is theres not as much room in front of it as where it was before.

So I stopped home from lunch and its still settled in the same place.
These were taken with an iPhone so they are bluer than they should be. Everything on the left is what I moved away from it last night so now I need to figure out where to put everything back.

I passed him on to make room for the ritteri that I have now. It is still doing well and I'll see if I can get an updated picture of it.

To each his own but he is beautiful and I would have set up a species tank for him. Then again I think having 7 tanks and 10 host anemones like me is normal.:lmao:

Or... You could get real crazy like me, and put 10 hosting (and several other) nems in a 210g tank. Don't worry Minh, I think you're the smart one here.

Yes it is beautiful, our area has an abundance of them I could get another pretty much just like it next week, but gigs and mags are a rarity in the parts so when the ritteri became available I pounced on it. Most LFS won't even bring in a mag or gig unless you pick it up right away, so your still in the shipping crap shoot. If I had the room I would have setup an tank for the haddoni, but with 4 kids under 7 there is not much room for another system in the house. Maybe when the dining room changes over from being a playroom I can look at another system.
