snail on clam

I just recently got this clam. I have had these snails in my tank for awhile. I thought they were babies (there are quite a few)from the snails I have had. Should I be worried?

No not at all. They are not pointed they are round. Just wondering if there are other snails that are harmful.

There are no other parasitic snails for clams other than the Pyramids that I know of. BTW, snails (turbo and other grazer snails that we use) also have parasitic Pyramids. They looks identical to the ones that prey on clams. IME they do not cross infected. The ones that prey on clams do not prey on snails. Anyway before add snails to my system, I always scrub the snails and remove all the parasites and eggs. In the past my snails often died after some duration, now none of my snails died for the last 2 years. When I fist notice this problem, all my grazing snails were heavily infested with these Pyramids
