Snail Problems

OK a couple days ago i saw a very tiny baby snail chilling out on the glass. Yesterday i saw a somewhat bigger snail (still a baby) on the glass

this morning i woke up and looked and i have a ton of baby snails all over the glass having some breakfast. there are at least 30 to 40 baby snails that i can see. could be (probably) more.

how do you handle this, i dont want them to starve and die and destroy my tank. i have a 14g and really dont want to put in another fish. are there any inverts or something that might eat these that would be ok in a 14g

They are probably collonista snails, and that's as big as they get. They are perfectly harmless nocturnal grazers. Their population will regulate itself given the availability of food.

This^^
Even if they are babies of some snails you have in the tank, they will self regulate the population and very few will make it to adulthood. No worries, just let them be. Just so you know, collonista are pretty common and stay very small. Nerites are well known to breed in captivity as are trochus, so those are other real possibilities if you have them. If they are babies and not collonista, you can always trade/give them away to friends as they grow.

If there's any way to starve out collonistas, I've never found it. I have a billion of those things. It looks like some kinda freaky thriller movie after dark when they all hit the glass.
