snow flake eels fighting

Hi I just discovered this site and I hoping someone can help.So I stop by my local fish store yesterday to buy food and ended up getting a few more things including a 12inch snow flake eel and a small 1inch niger trigger got home and acclimated both fish into my 75gal (no quarantine since tank is a fish only but everything that goes into my 75 gal reef is quarantined)
stocklist before add the new fish are
one 10inch snow flake eel and one 4inch pigfish(grunt)

My question is since I have added the second snow flake to the tank the first snow flake has been picking fights with the new snow flake I've rearanged the rocks and added a few pieces of 1.5inch pvc but still the eels fight. Its like watching a MMA fight ,they go at it for about 10 seconds then breakup and go to their corners and wait for round 2   I guess this is territorial since they are not injuring each other but what gives I thought that eels were tolerant of each other.

any advice?

i have 6 hawaiian dragon morays in a 470--10 foot long aquarium and they bicker every now and then but all get along well. they will sort things out!

wow 6 Hawaiian dragons really cool I'd love to have one.
now the good news I just got home from work and went straight to the tank xpecting the worst only to find both eel sharing the same piece of pvc pipe so I'll see how long the peace treaty lasts..

I'v had the smaller snow flake for about 3months and just got the new sfe 2days ago along with a really small niger trigger
