So excited

I looked at a Florida map today and saw how close Titusvile is to Vero Beach.

Hey, so tell me where is the best beach for laying around sunning, and where is the best location for snorkeling?

Close your eyes, spin around three times, and land your finger on a Florida beach and you should be good (for sunning). Not sure on snorkeling. Check out the Keys. :)

Yeah Grant the keys are awesome for snorkeling. I've been scuba diving there and it was fabulous, some of the best in the US. Hawaii would be my runner up.

By the way, even with screen resolution and flat dim indoor light, I can see the optical goodness of that lens! Wait til you get some real light going through it! It is remarkable that you were able to hand hold it at 1/40th with the clarity shown.

I've heard the keys are good, we will probably head down that way for a day.

The main issue is my wife will be 6 months pregnant and I'm not sure how much snorkeling she is going to want to do, so I'm not sure I'll get much time to do that type of thing. I guess I'll find out :)

If you puke in the water in the keys (probably anywhere really) the fish love it!! It wasn't me, but a buddy after we partied all night and then went straight on the boat. I actually think he was probably still drunk and all that bobbing up and down didn't sit well with him :). Seriously, fish came from everywhere!

Hopefully my wife gets a touch of morning sickness then :)

Dont tell her I said that, I'll already be in enough trouble for all the "seagull" pictures.

dude - if she ever meets me I will deny that I am IPT (lol)..... I didn't say it man, I didn't say it!! Ahh, it's good to be single :).

There is a HUGE coral reef that stretches more or less the whole Atlantic coast of Florida. It even goes to Georgia and the Carolinas. The problems is that you would need to charter a boat and be deap dive certified to explore it. There is a large section of reef relatively close to shore in Vero but I still wouldn't recommend free diving to it from shore. Hop on down to the Keys for a day, it will be worth it I promise!! They have the most diversity down there. We have mostly zoas growing in Titusville's lagoons (inland of the barrier islands). When you go off shore you see some cool stony corals, but I would go to the keys if I was in your shoes.

Sounds good, we will probably head to the Keys.

Do I need to do some kind of tour there, Titus? Or just rent some snorkel gear and drive to the keys and jump in?
