Well, i just ordered my LAIII mini lumenarc reflector from Pacific garden supply... i hope they are everything they are built up to be!

Now, i just have a trillion other choices to make like which bulb, which ballast, and whether to go 250 or 400.... :rolleye1:

If its for the 47 gallon tank in your sig, i'd go with a 250 watt 10k bulb w/ actintic suppliments if that is possible. (unless you are a major sps freak). I'd think a 400 watt over a 47 gallon would cause a decent amount of evap.

because of the size of the reflector, i will not be able to run actinics, so thats why i was just planning on running maybe a 14k hamilton or 12k coralvue reeflux.... i was going to i think go 250, cause i think i will get good good color and growth out of that wattage...and i am concerned about the tank getting too hot with a 400, so thats the main reason i think i am going with 250.... we'll see! Anyone else?
