And waynesworld, I'll agree that stepping back to be with family or take care of your life isn't exactly dereliction of duty or anything. But going AWOL for 2 months when you're the president? Why is that okay?

And actually if I'm honest, I'm mostly just messing with you guys. I didn't even notice eyebedam was gone until this was posted. I have nothing against him at all, and I don't even know what he was supposed to be doing. People around here have such thin skin.

Just like you said, you've been doing this for 6 months. And YES some of us have been doing this for quite sometime. Some of us stepped out because of the new comers giving us grief like something what your doing. I'm a honest and forward person. So I say what I think. It's not easy to do something when there's bunch of folks giving you grief. Doesn't matter IF we find a new president, same thing is going to happen all over again. We have been doing this for awhile, we can tell you more and help you more on some stuffs then others will. To ask a question is one thing, but to act childish and being rude is another! To be honest, some of the new comers say this and that, BUT why don't you guys attend more meetings yourself? I've been to a few this year, but I don't think I've seen some of you there at all. Instead of dictating, do something about it by stepping up yourself and stop all the bickering! Don't get me wrong, I like A LOT of the new comers, but some of you just really get on my nerves. Grow up and stop acting like bunch of 2 yr old. I guess this is the reason why I prefer spending my time with my animals then some folks on here......

Hehe Mikey, I don't know what you're talkin' about. You just quoted my whole message and started giving me grief about giving you grief and I wasn't even talking to you. I can be an "honest and forward person" too, right? Can I also be allowed to "say what I think" as you do? Or is that what you're calling "grief"? Is it okay if I say that I think it's fitting that your avatar is a parrot?

Ask yourself this: what if I was club president, and I disappeared for 2 months, and when I came back I just posted this really lame explanation for taking 1/6th of a year off with no notice to anyone, while simultaneously bringing up an old argument and offering no apologies to the BOD that was forced to pick up the slack in my absence? Would you all be defending me right now, or would you like to hear what was going on in my head? Wouldn't you want a better reason why I couldn't be bothered to call, email, or PM someone and just let them know I'm on hiatus for a while? If you really would treat me the same, then I want to be prez next year.

Okay, now that at least half the BOD hates me for being honest, I guess I can scratch the rest of those club meetings off my calendar...

We need to start the *****y reefers club. For those who get accused of complaining and get yelled at when we accidentally step on on some toes by simply speaking the truth and not sugarcoating everything. Membership dues are a bottle of rum and a barbecue once in a while.

We talk about whatever we want.....and by we I mean me talking to myself. There is no singing aloud, unfortunately. Unless you are my upstairs neighbor, he sings a lot. You can be in both clubs at once. Which will be better for you because I don't have door prizes, and I generally have to pay double the price of a club member for a local frag. (there are exceptions).

And you are allowed to say whatever you want, because we don't care what you think. It is your responsibility to be okay with you. Rum is welcome, but high quality beer is preferred. Barbecues, however, are mandatory.

I dont hate/dislike you or Zach or anyone else... heck I actually want members to voice how they feel along with suggestions on how to make things work for everyone... You not coming to meetings will not help our club at all... Voice your concerns and if you have them ideas too.

I think that there are things that have been mentioned before that still havent been fixed and that irks me.

I have said it before and I will say it again... This is a hobby not a job/bussiness. It's supposed to be fun for EVERYONE including the BOD... I dont think being criticized takes any fun out of it but that just me I guess..

I took the same mental approach to this that I did with my job which is that if you dont like something that I am doing or not doing them tell me straight up and give me a chance to fix it. If I dont then it's on me cause I had my chance...

I stopped posting and just lurked from a long time now. When I voiced my opinion I got jumped on too. The old "we have been here longer than you" speech. I go to the meetings that are close and don't b*&^h about the ones that aren't. I would go if I was an officer because that would be part of the "duty" of being an officer. It was in every organization I have been affiliated with and I have served in many executive positions previously so I am not "talking" to hear myself. If you can't be there then you should consider not being on the board or at least posting that you will be out for awhile and who will be filling in. It is considerate if nothing else. Maybe the question could have been asked more tactfully but it was an honest question that I am sure many of us wanted to ask. I re-upped my membership this year after a long discussion with gabberjaw. I have not been disappointed in what she is trying to do or plan to do but in presence on the site (this is not directed to gabberjaw BTW)- the BOD could be more present.

I'm the VP of the club and I'm on here almost every day,And I've been to 4 meetings out of 6 this year so far. And Andy been to all of them also Justin he's been to as many as I been. and mike just had a baby girl and a flooded house so. I'm not trying push your button Lori or anyone.
