So I got a new "used" skimmer. Itech

I feel like a kid at christmas and its not even new. Heck it doesnt even work!! But it will. Tonight I picked up an Itech 400. I could not be happier. Price?? Lets say it was cheap "wife might read this" I would have been happy with an Itech 200 or A reef octo sro 5000 But I found an Itech 400. Sorry but I am just really excited that I had to share. I have both the Tunze pumps for it and everything is there. Needs a good cleaning and new impellers and A good tune up from John but I got the last piece of my 275g 8' SPS dominant system. I have been gathering stuff or "Junk" as the wife likes to call it for 8 months and this was the last item.
I was looking around the garage for a soda can but found an old bottle of what "kind of fitting with the age of the skimmer" Purple up LOL. Gives you an idea of the size of this thing. Also had a nice little something on the cover. Guess what fish nazi singed his work.

Thanks Roger. I knew you would like it. The plane is to give it to John and get it tuned up.
Sinful you and so many others want to find a 100-200. To be honest I feel very lucky to get this one. Now that i have one you can see the quality in it then with 2 tunze hydrofomers as pumps. Well I just want to get it running. Once tuned up I will put it on my 90 and let it run for a couple days just to see it work.

Yeah you will have a tough time finding a 100 or 200.did the 400 come with pumps?if so were they the tumzes?

Yes it came with the 9420 and 9410. Needs new impellers and a good cleaning.

That is one of the first "mass" produced model 400s. Yes, bring it in for a tune-up.
