Special thanks to Randal for taking a few home for me!

Cheers!

cwolfus, when you mount the pavona, mount it like a sharks fin, not flat! It's a good grower, I should stick it in the DBTC. You will be rewarded by it's awesome growth pattern, though it's brown. It's like the ruffles of a puffy pirate shirt (ala Seinfeld).

my "super LE yellow/mint sinularia" looks really unhappy, in my tank it was bright yellow and about 4 inches tall. Let me know how it does.

Arnold,

No worries, I squeezed it between the 2 rocks just before the pic. It's much happier today, though still mint colored. ;-)

Thanks for the tip, Vince.

Charles,

The mystery cap is a frag crumb from my true Leng Sy, hehe. Too small to put into the swap, so you get to baby it :)

Give it a lot of alk, light, and flow!

:)

Thanks Norman.

BTW, Anyone have any advice for the gorgonians? I know they fair poorly, but by 3x pick I figured I have as much chance of keeping them alive as anyone. Does anyone have good luck with them? Can they make it spot fed on phytofeast?

-C

My "purple stick" gorgonian would capture cyclopeeze and baby brine shrimp (popcorn of the sea!). Though it never grew at all.

rotifeast and dt's phyto maybe =/

just increase the heck out of the live planktonic foods should do it, though not sure if you can put enough into the water without crashing the system. not sure =(

I let my purple gorgonian be, it's a photosynthetic variant but my tank is dirty enough I think when I scrape the walls I put plenty of "food" into the tank for it :)

I got it from the last bar fragging demo a while back, and it's still alive, infact it's encrusted onto the rock nicely so I must atleast be partially doing something right :)

Just wondering if you guys have tried live cultured phtoplankton by chance.. Direct feeding them by way of turkeybasting ( pumps turned off ).... ? I've been doing that lately to my corals and they sure seem to enjoy it.

I recieved a Frag of the Tyree Alien also. I was wondering what kind of light/flow I should be giving it? Does it need any special treatment? Thanks,
Tim

Tim,
If it is my frag (I put down my RC handle on the container), all my chalices are sitting on the bottom of my tank (24") and my current lighting is 400W 20K XM.

It was one of your frags radiolunatic. I have it in the middle of the tank(approx 12") under 150 watt 14K bulb. I have no idea what kind of Par difference that would be. Think I sould move it up/down?

Cool. Chalice does not need a lot of light. They can even thrive under PC. It might be OK @ that position, but if you see it stressed out, you can move it down. If not, than you are fine.

I just wanted to drop a line and say that I am sorry for the poor selection of corals that my business dontated to the swap! Because of the move we have limited stocks of everything and I dontated corals that were growing well and were hardy.

Next year will be different! With 2x more space for propagation the donations will be OUT OF THIS WORLD!!!!
