So what did you think?

How did everyone like the presentation on dosing and testing by Joe? What parts if any did you feel were particularly relevant for you? Are you going to make any changes to your reef keeping techniques based on what you heard?

I liked it the triton method is very enticing but we will see how my setup goes. I think what bobs doing is more up my alley with brs supplements and afding the trace elements

Very informative. I am going to research the Triton method more and may go that route when/if I ever upgrade. Thanks for setting it up. Looking forward to the next one

It's very interesting but a little too long, I heard some were dosing off. I was actually thinking of changing my sump like they were saying and showed in one of the pics and either get rid of the filter socks or keep them.

i think the Video presentation was a winner. We should try and do that going forward.

I like the Triton Method and it appears they are coming out with the product in a larger container and will lead to cost savings. I also like the idea of a refugium in the sump. I would just need to get another sump.

I think the most critical thing with tritons sump and fuge is their ratio of fuge size to tank volume.

I forget the exact ratio but I think a minimum of 1/3rd volume.

I run a 30g sump on my 100g tank. Actual water volume is less as the sump isn't full from end to end, but I'd guess I'm within the ballpark of necessary volume.

For me the bigger issue is monster flow through the sump. I'm already maxing out my single overflow.

I'm running a 40 standard as a sump for my 40 breeder and about 40% of that is my refiugium. Guess I need to get more different algae and a powerhead for it.

Ken,

That's a good point as to how much flow a single over flow can handle. I'm guessing most of us have a single overflow. i don't think they put 2 in for tanks under 120 or so gallons and i think high end tanks like Elos only have a single overflow on their bigger tanks. I guess it's a question for Joe at Unique

I liked the new presentation option. It offers us a great new option for further presentations going forward.
