Good to hear :D

I cant wait to receive mine ( it had to be ordered )

hey daveyboi, i noticed that you have both a 150w phoenix and 250w phoenix over two different solanas, THATS SWEET. Which one do you like better, does the 250 grow your corals faster/brighter/thicker/etc.? The 14k has the white spectrum for coral growth and blue spectrum for bringing out color..right? Also, my dartfish died today by somehow getting sucked into the Auto Top off bottle, it's the stock set up...... Craziest thing I had ever seen, i go to check the ATO and i see my fish in the bottle.

The 250 is over my Anemone tank Solana so can't tell the difference. I do have a Squamousa in there that is growing like crazy though...

Wow, that's afreak accident. Sorry to hear you lost your jawfish.

I set mine up 2 days ago. I've been so busy and it still doesn't have enough water in it so it's pretty loud and i haven't gotten the skimmer running either. i moved everything from my 24g into this.

I have another skimmer question and other ramblings -

I setup my Aqua Controller Jr on my Solana this weekend, but whenever I hit the feed cycle that shuts off the pumps for several minutes, the stock skimmer is flooded from the backup of water and the ATO bottles go swimming.

Not worried about the ATO bottles as I ordered a Tunze Osmolater last night and I plan to ditch the bottles.

I have the collection cup up about 1" from the fully collapsed position. Is this not high enough? I don't see anyway to avoid the skimmer being flooded when the pumps stop. I am getting good skimmate and not having any issues with microbubbles, so I really just want to keep the stock skimmer.

I have my tank up for one month and so far I have ditched the glass top which is nothing but a heat sink and put on a plexiglass 1/8" with a large cutout in the middel for for the Sunpod 150w MH (picked up from an earlier posting). Added the two fan Azoo unit to control the water temp, hence the need for the ATO. Since the Sunpod is so close to the top with the side mount legs, there is really no way for this to work with a fully enclosed glass top. I was getting up to 82 degrees and now with the fan and cutout, I can stay below 79.

Hi, if you don't mind, I would like to ask along with your question, how did you not get micro bubbles? I just started my Solana tonight and have been fiddling with it but I still get the bubbles. I tried faced the skimmer in the other direction (turned 180 degrees) in hopes that the bubbles would dissipate before it moved to the 2nd chamber. I've stuffed the black filter pad in front of the skimmer's outflow path. I am also using the blue filter pad in the 2nd chamber. Return pump in the 3rd chamber. After doing all of this, the bubbles are reduced but not gone.

Thanks...

Unless you have something funky going on with your skimmer or return pump, the microbubbles should go away on their own after a day or two.

Here is our tank. It has been up for about 3 months.

We started a thread on it but I figured I would add a picture here too
