Solana tank owner thread.

The eye sensor should be set with the point a touch below the plastic bottle holder plate in the third chamber. I'd put the max level float sensor no more than an inch above that.

Awesome. That XL60 is exactly what I have been dreaming up in my mind for my next tank. Although I think I would rather have it more like 16"-18" deep. Still a nice tank, I'm curious to see where it gets priced.
 
I thought the literature said it came with the Sunpod. I hope not because I already have a 24" fixture to put on it!! Considering you can get the Solana for about $400 tank and stand I can't see the 60 going for much more than $600 if they will sell just tank and stand. The 67, now that's a different story.
 
Yeah, they sold 34 gallon Solana tank and stands separate to LFS's, which is how I got mine, didn't pick the lights they offered, I would hope they would do the same with the 60/67...

Well at least thats how the LFS I went to got me the stuff, from a local distributor, next day.
 
I'm not digging the stock Solana ATO so far. If the bottles run out of water and the level drops a bit refilling them does not mean they will start replacing water, you have to manually add water to reach the bottles then they work normally.

I have a float switch and a Aqualifter hanging around and I think I'm going to set that up instead and feed it with a 2 gallon container in the stand.
 
I am using a mag float medium. I am also thinking about getting a "nimble" from a guy that makes them on another forum but he always seems to be backed up with orders.

Well I just got me a Solana,downgrading from a 65rr to this baby.Will be setting the tank this weekend,liked the idea of the moonlight 'cause the light that I bought was the disco one.
 
how far away is the solana XL60? months? weeks? no one knows the true price of the stand and tank ?

the 60xl looks like it has a std overflow or does it have the internal filtration system like the other solana?

I use the 2.5 gal Fort Pak jugs from US Plastics. They're inexpensive and fit nicely on the bottom shelf in the stand.
