Yes JNB I own a saltwater shop. I plan to use all Solaris in the shop by the end of 2007.......MH have got to go by summer though. Checked the lights and moons are on as scheduled.
Steve, the controller features are awesome. Best I have seen so far on any system............

so far looks nice. How would you compare the solaris to a mh system.Do you think its giving off enough light to keep higher light corals. My tank is 36 deep for me this wouldn't work.My tank is empty now but I plan on going bigger 265 to 400 gal,265 is 8 feet long 400 is 10 feet.I know I wouldn't be able to afford 2 x 4 ft lights or 1 x 6ft and 1x 4ft.I don't have the cash for it.Like I said in other posts the light seems very good and I like the fetures but the price tag is out of my range.I am a spender but my wife curbed my habits.I was out of control with this hobby. If I could afford it I would buy it.If they would come out with a cheaper model without the light controller I wouldn't buy it simply because the controller is a very nice feature and I would rather have all the bells and whistles. If you are going to do something do it right the first time.

you will always get shadows when you are in the ocean its only normal. We are trying to light up a cube. Its more simple to do that.I think its nice to have a unit that can replicate sunny ,cloudy conditions at random.More realistic than lighting up a cube with bulbs on a timer. Will this make any differance in growth, who knows we are still trying to keep an animal in a small cube.Would be interesting to see if you get a better growth rate with this lighting system.

There are lots of people out there who can grow sps with pc lighting. It just not as fast as with MHs. I think your sps will grow but it will take a couple months to really notice the difference. Please keep posting updates and pics when you can. I really appreciate it. I hope PFO is working on adding more LEDs to get a wider spread for guys with 24" wide tanks.

I wonder if they'll incorporate 1 or 2 red LED's per bank, too - you know, like some Japanese reefers do to bring out colors.

Got the replacement Solaris to replace the one with shipping damage. They now have 2 green LED on each LED bank for color. Never needed anymore color IMO but they say it will help green corals stand out more.
