Hey guys,

Would love to hear some ideas on other fish to add to my tank.

Some info:
470 Gallon Display (~ 120x29x31)
200 Gallon Sump
Tank is about 3 months old, cycled in diatom stage now.
Goal to be a mixed reef

Currently in the tank:
2.5" Tomini Tang
3 - Pajama Cardinals
Snails and stuff

Going into QTs next week:
Black Tang
Purple Tang
Chevron Tang
Pair of Flame Wrasses
Potters Angel
Flame Angel

Also will be adding these existing fish when other fish are done with QT:
3" Yellow Tang
3" Yellow Bellied Blue Tang
Black Ice Clown

Future fish I'd like but would be going in near last:
Achilles Tang
Pair of Crosshatch Triggers

What be some great additions to add after the next batch of QT?

Not looking at doing so many QT fish at once. Probably 1-2 at a time after the next batch.

Thanks :love1:

You could put pretty much anything you want in that tank.

How about adding a naso, sailfin, or my favorite scarus parrotfish (quoyi, princess, etc...).
A bunch of anthias would add life to the mix...
2 or 3 pyramid butterflies...

And, where are our dang pics of this awesome setup, Man???

Should have mentioned that also would like some Anthias, CB Butterfly and a Midas Blenny. Also wanted a Sohal, but might just skip that... find another Acan. Tang to go in with the Achilles.

Would be worried about a Sailfin with the other 3 Zebr. Tangs. Naso is a good idea as well :)

Would the parrot eat coral?

Attached a pic and here is a video right before the diatoms popped up (white rocks!)

Tank / Room is a mess right now, still need to make sure everything is dialed in and then skin the stand.

Nice job on that aquascaping, Man!!! I'm envious of the size of your tank. I thought my 225g was large, you darn near doubled my tank...

The sailfin will be fine with the other zebrs if you add them at the same time, or add the sailfin and purple last...

The parrot won't eat coral as long as you stay with the scarus line. I can't speak for other parrots as I've never owned anything other than a scarus (princess parrotfish in my case, but I'd get a quoyi if I could do it all over again)...

Edit: You did double my tank size, and more. LOL...

+1 to the Quoyi or princess. You didn't mention if the tank is acrylic or not (guessing it is) the parrots beak won't do anything good for acrylic. They DO NOT eat corals or inverts for the record

Good point. The parrots will scratch acrylic. I keep forgetting about that as I have a glass tank...

Yes acrylic... was even a little worried about the Crosshatches with that... but I think they should be ok...

I'd suggest you get a big pistol shrimp, maybe a tiger, and pair him with a larger shrimpgoby like a watchman.
I also suggest you get a cleaner wrasse once the tank is otherwise stocked. I bet you could keep one happy with that many fish.
Maybe a few scarlet skunk cleaner shrimp, too, those are neat.
