So today i broght home some meters from work just to check and see how many amps/watts/kwph i was pullin off the two outlets i am using for my whole tank set up. Here is what i got installed and running.

250W MH with external ballast
5 pumps
fuge light
skimmer
heater
wave master
UV sterilizer
plus all the stuff from my BC29.

All this plugged in is only pulling 5 amps and close to 550 watts. I was surprised to see that it was that low. I guess on a 15 amp isolated ckt, i have 10 amps and 1250 watts to play with.

It might look like a nightmarish rats nest back there but it isnt pullin a whole lot of energy!

Just thought i would share.

lol....in all actuality i dont pay the bill. I live in military housing with free electricity. I guess i should upgrade if anything. AND, im not married...my ex wife didnt like my hobby so now she is gone...heheh...and that is the truth lol

If i was gettin free electricity, i would upgrade forsure :D. Lol, my girlfriend hates fish also, but shes comeing around :)

Jeez...if I was getting free electricity, I'd turn my entire pad into one huge grow room and sleep in the closet!!:smokin:

Not to rain on your parade but you don't actually have 10 amps left to play with :)
Circuts can only be loaded up to 80% of their rating so a 15 amp breaker is only "really" rated for 12 amps.
:(

Did you use a kill-o-watt? That's what I use for fining out how much household stuff draws..
