Sorry man.
I lost my flame during hypo. It swelled up and died. My clown trig started swelling too and that was when I added salt back into the tank. Actually I sucked out water, added salt, stirred, poured back in....repeat.
My flagfin or poor man's goldflake is fine and in the display after a week in QT. It has been in since Saturday. The big blue line would chase it, but then stopped. The titan though would fly at it and try to get it. Saw that once and pulled the titan out. It is in the sump now. BTW, that fish is 5.25", much more than 4.5" I thought it was. But now nothing bothers it. The purple tang was the first to chase it back to one area, then the big blue, then the titan. Now none and I'm not sure when titan is going back in.
My opinion is too much change on the little dude and perhaps hypo was that final straw. I will copper before I hypo from my experience last year.
Your comment on the multiple QT's, I agree 100%. I coppered my 55 school tank and have the pbt in there as a big QT, the 10 with the queen trig is now copper too just to be safe.
So, either buy one new fish at a time, or in your case where most are being shipped in so buying a few at once saves money, multiple tanks are in order. A 10 gallon is fine for a fish 7" or less for a 30 day period. Most fish I should say, you have to watch, but about 5 lbs of LR, little $10 power filter from walmart and a shop light and instant QT.
