I finally scraped some of the coraline algae off of the back of the tank. It's not done but here's a few pics...

Thanks for looking...:wavehand:

Looks awesome Henry! What kind of lighting are you using?

Thanks Ben, they are 119 1 watt 20k version leds (X2). They are the same as the 119 watt unit that Evolution Leds used to sell.(made by the same company in china). I tried to send you a response to your pm for yesterday but I kept getting kicked off the internet.

Didn't you just start that tank over from scratch recently?
Yeah, pretty much lost all my sps corals last November. I started over with softies and some lps but they just didn't do it for me..I jumped back into sps in feb of 2012. I did manage to save some frags of some of the stuff.

I'm sure that others are wondering about all that coralline. Do you use a Mg supplement?

My dosing schedule is as follows; 60 ml of bulk reef supply ca and alk suppliment per day and 60 ml of mg every other saturday. Kalk drips from a 5 gal food grade container at around 4-6 drops per minute (gravity fed). Top off is done manually. I do add stronium/moly per instuctions on bottle.

a-HA! I had a hunch.

IME Sr and Mg supplementation will make corallines grow like crazy.
Nice PITA to have.
