Some pics of my 30 cube

Here are some pics of my 30g cube. I run it like a nano (sumpless, skimmerless) except for the 250 MH XM20K. I do large weekly water changes of about 10-15 gallons. There are quite a few times where I'll let it go for 2 or 3 weeks so I make up with a 20 gallon water change.

Now that I'm confident that I can keep things alive, I would like to start adding a few more corals. Any suggestions???

A little under exposed

Here is a really old picture of my BTA, that did not want to have its picture taken today. I'll try to get a better pic tomorrow.

Looks very cool. You really got room for much else? Some of the stuff you've got is going to grow in and take up some space up high there yet, particularly that monti cap. What's the flaky looking purple stuff down near the bottom? I think it's time to upgrade tank size.

already looks great, and I have to echo that it looks like you have plenty of corals in there, just have to wait for everything to grow in

I can't see how you are doing it with two tunze. I just barrowed a tunze from a freind and put it in my 110 and it was too much.

i don't think there are two Tunzes in there, One is just a reflection.

Its some form of coralline, but it only grows on that particular rock.

November 2004. However about the only thing I had in it for the first year and a half was the clown fish and anemone. The tank has basically been my training wheels and is my first attempt in the saltwater hobby. All the corals in there have been grown from tiny frags (most still are ).

Vishboy is correct in that it is just a reflection. This is one of my favorite things about a cube tank. All the reflections make the tank seem twice its size. Kind of like those mirrors they have in dressing rooms. I used to have a shallow sand bed but the tunze blew it right out of the tank I prefer the sand bed aesthetically however the corals are happier with the massive flow.

Anyone notice that bright orange and pink coralline algae on the tunze. This stuff pops up from time to time but it only stays that color for about 3 days. Does anyone else get this stuff? I wish I could keep it that color, its even brighter than the zoanthids.
