fired it up this evening !!!! fresh water run through real quick,,,,,
i found one small drip on the bulk head , but the rest is dry as it gets ,,,and theres a lot of PVC that i ran ,,LOVE the Bean's stand pipes !!!! you cannot here a thing , dead silent . dont think i will ever switch to anything else

Glad to see you got it running. I'm so ticked I didn't follow through with that design on my new tank. There's definitely a difference between "quiet" and "silent."

Looking real good Murph. Bean's method is a lot of pluming, but it is SO worth it!!! I'm glad it is working out for you. What return are you expecting out of that dolphin pump with your head pressure?

lol,,,not very much after that run up stairs !!!! ,, i see a Hammerhead or a Cuda in the future , its a far run to the tank for any pump. this Dolphin is only 3600 gph , i am going to need a good bit more . with these pipes as you know you, you can run a great deal of water through them , they are that adjustable . its right around 1200 gph at the tank.

Murph I am going to get the new Reeflo Blackfin 6000. The specs on it are better at my head pressure than hammerhead IMO. Here is the Reeflo site for you to check it out reeflopumps.com. I feel that I am at about 10-11Ft head pressure. Which has my Dart giving me roughly 1000-1200 GPH at roughly 140 watts. The Hammerhead would be about 4500 GPH at 370 watts. Now that new Blackfin 6000 pump will pump 3800 GPH at 300 watts. I think that leaves the Blackfin about 6% more efficient than the Hammerhead at my head pressure.

Few new Pics to peek at , i got everything over into the big tank , just not the way i want the rock work yet , everyone happy in there for sure , my clowns found a new host , a big patch of AOG zoas , there are 2 HUGE anemones in there they have just flat out dissed for months, wont even go near them anymore , they seem to like the zoas now , i woke up this morning and thought one clown was gone , then i seen his face looking at me buried in the zoas , pretty cool
I have to cut and vent the side of my canopy for the Aquatronic Constellation T-5 ( that is way bad a$$ by the way) , the intake for the cooling are on the ends of the fixture , i cant choke out the vents with my canopy . ill post more pics later this weekend when i get the chance to re do the rocks
