when i set tanks up i like some sand under the rocks ,like 1" so the rocks have something to stabilize them and take out any hot spots of pressure on the bottom glass .
what i'm speaking of is the horizontal wood at the upper edge of the tank between the tank and the doors . its a 180 gallon tank and is pretty deep and when you have to reach over the wood trim to reach into the tank it will be in your way especially when you try to touch the bottom of the tank . you will find that you will be using some tongs to get to the bottom .
the overall "look" is great so leave it as is for sure .i build a lot of canopies and usually present this to customers ,look verses functionality and the trim look could be built into the doors . just trying to help not criticize in any way and the whole room is looking great as it looks beautiful for sure .
