Some Shark Pond Photos

I have allways thought about converting a Koi pond to saltwater containing sharks. Have cool fish and teach them dumb herrons a lesson. Just that whole winter thing has been a stubbling block for me :). Looks cool, is it big enough for a few sharks though?

I thought about the same thing. Best thing i could come up with is used a closed hot water system with a heater inline. Gas bills would suck though.

Lets see some plumbing shots:smokin:

Pond is 8feet by 4 by 4 with an Iwaki pumping into the 72 bowfront and a laguna 2900 pump circulating and a couple of maxi jets with the upgrade kit for 2100gph. 2 DE 150watt halides and 1 250 watt all 10k
I have macro in the bowfront that seems to be eating up the nitrates fairly well so far.

Frame is 4x4's plywood and rebar there are about 3000watts worth of heaters to keep temp stable.
