So I got some new rock today, full of life, seeded for 12 years or so.
First... the following stars are on the rocks.
Now I know these are asterina stars, and I know some people think they are Zoanthid predators.. .. My question is.. In all cases I've ever dealt with Asterina Stars, they were tanned color, or darker color.. I've never before seen asterina stars with red spots.
Has anyone dealt with these specific ones before? and what are your experiences?
Next.. I also saw 2 of these handsome fellas..

I know they're serpent stars and probably harmless.. However... In my previous tanks, i've had billions of TINY little serpent stars.. where the majority always had like 1 or 2 huge tentacles, and 1 or 2 smaller ones...
These particular serpent stars that i just found, are fairly huge for (tiny bristle stars).... they're about 2 inches span.. and all tentacles are evenly long..
Anyone know the specific species? how big they get? harmless?
