Looks like you a have at least two species of spiffy red algae. Try looking up Botryocladia and Chondrus. Could you post some more pictures of the red algae that only branches in 'Ys' (that doesn't have grape-like fronds).
ok i'll work on it- I think your right about the two types. One has "Y" shaped branches and the other looks like grape-like or bubbles on single strands like the green calerpa.
