someone is using my photo for advertising!

One of my wife's friends is getting married soon and has been showing us all these advertisements in the bridal magazines with one of our wedding photos. She has seen it in 10 or so different adds.

I just did a quick 2 minute search online and found our photo posted on the prescott resort website...

We were not informed or notified in any way, her friend just found it and said hey look, your in the magazine. Kind of violating and kind of flattering at the same time..

Wow. Interesting thread. I've bought from them before and they seem like really nice people. When was the last time you tried calling them? That seemst to be the best way to reach them. They also have their own forum under sponser forums I believe.

That stinks that they didn't even ask you for your permission. I've seen other online companies do it also.

Rioshilo, a lot of the time when the photographer takes the picture, they can do whatever they want with it. In the contract you signed, it should have laid everything out saying if the photographer retains the rights to the pictures.

Over two weeks & still no response!
I will make another call and hopefully be able to talk to someone live and not just voicemail because that obviously did not help.

Thanks for the lead on the software, you have to beware though, twice they try to get you to download "alert" software for their "deal of the day" specials, and they also try to misdirect your download by giving two false "download" radio buttons for other software demos before you get to the real one.
