I would get some tweezers and it least give it a tug. I don't see how removing it would kill the coral unless you just butcher it in the process. GL.
 
ive seen my scoly take a snail in it mouth, then spit it out.. i would never think of trying to extract anything from mine.. i would think it would spit it out.

when the lights go out, does it have it tentacles out? if so, feed it then...
 
I've had nassarius snails crawl in a couple times after feeding the scolys. I just plucked them out and scoly was no worse for wear.

I just had this happen again, but I haven't fed my scoly in over two weeks so I don't know what the snail was doing in there. I removed it and both seem perfectly fine again.
 
After I pulled it out, the scoly is slowly dying. It's now showing skeleton and has a big, gaping mouth. I think its days are numbered.
 
Can't say I'm an expert in Scolys by any means, but maybe get a dip, like Revive to try saving it.
