Something to think about!!!

Well a week ago Friday I stepped out of my Dump truck at work and rolled my left ankle. So today I went to a Orthopedic Doc and found out that not only did I sprain my ankle, but I also almost dislocated my foot. So today they put a cast on it. Below it a pic of the beast. Now here is the thing to think about. Who will take over taking care of your tank? Does your wife know what to do? Or is she willing to do it? Lucky for me My wife is great and doing what she can. You don't realize how dependent you are of your body until you are missing using part of it. I can't bare any weight on my left foot so I can't carry water, food or socks to take care of the tank...lololol..

This story is fishy (pun intended).

Now that football starts this weekend, honey my leg is broken I cant work on Sunday, but NFL will help with the pain.

On a serious note, I hope you get better.

I totally agree. I just came back from a cruise of the western Caribbean and one of the first things that came into my mind when I planned it was... "What am I going to do with the tank?" I can't trust my brother with this.

I have to say that, all I did was do a 30% water change, cleaned the canister filter really well and gave it new pads, added food to the automatic feeder, placed all my electronics on two APC battery backups and said a little prayer.

To my surprise, the tank did great while I was away. My 2 SPS corals even grew noticeably and one of my two hammers split while I was away. I only had to put in about 3/4 of a gallon of RO DI water when I got back.

I'm beginning to think that they don't like me messing with them every day. :-)

Now, I know that this is not a solution for a situation like the one you had, but it made me think that we should use much more automation on this than we currently do.

On a side note, I saw a guy on CL that does tank maintenance for a "Affordable" rate if you absolutely need it.

Best wishes on your leg healing up quick!!!

Thanks Guys and I went to a reg. Doc first and then they referral me to the other. Workman comp sucks. lolol The ER doc said I should go right to the Otho Doc, But had to do the WC thing. lol

You know I've always got your back. If you need help with the tank just let me know...

...and I'll send Michelle up to help

OOO By the way, Wife works 40 hrs a week and goes to school full time.... And now she has to wait on me hand and foot....And take care of the tank.....lol....Man I hope I'm worth it!!! lol

Man that really sucks. Lucking my girlfriend is pretty savy with taking care of the tank. Of course I always make sure it's in top condition before going out of town (big water change, clean out the skimmer, have plenty of RO h20 on hand) and everything has always been fine. I guess I'm pretty lucky she has interest in this hobby too!

Jk. Glad she can keep ur tank up for u. It looked awesome when I was there!!! Sorry to here about the food :( wish u a quick recovery
