This is beautiful. I will gladly send you frags when, someday, I have some.

One more question.

The drain hose (from the bottom of the jug) is attached to the filter system, right? Would that be ok to put into the pump side of an ac refugium mod? That should stir it up enough shouldn't it? before it hits the LR or whatever in the refugium?

Say, do you know anything about the toxicity of pink leather corals? About the color of a bag of live brine shrimp. I'm starting to think they are awfully mean. I moved my little tiny 3/4 inch frag yesterday about 1 inch over in the tank. Last night around 2 am I saw a pink worm with pinker stripes (similar colors as the leather coral) stretching out of his hole. This afternoon the worm is dead, hanging out in loops on the rock  What do I have in this tank?

YES, anyplace there is water current will be fine. My HOB Filters top is slotted so I just pinched it through a slot to be held there.
Since the GATO replensihes throught the day, the amount of fresh top off water going into the tank at any one time is miniscule.

As for the LEather Coral, I never owned one before (Never found them verry attractive). My understaning though is they are Peaceful in general. I dout that the Leather is the cause of your dead worm.

Duster Island.

SoMoney I have a question about your ATO
I made the same design but with a water bootle instead
When I tested it the water was flowing but when the water level reached the top tube it didnt stop flowing
It was air tight and i dont know y it didnt work

I was making an ATO today. All i used was a gatorade bottle that was empty and clean, 2 tubes and silicone. I took a screw driver made a hold on top and bottom. Put tubes in nhole and siliconed them. Placed the ATO above my tank and put the water in. Its working perfect. Rioght now im trying to make a bigger one for my 20 gallon tank.

2. Everything goes Weird but still works.
Sometimes when the water level drops to activate the AirLine Triger, some water and bubbles get sucked into the airline and carried into the ATO. Not really a big deal as the ATO still functions as designed at tops off the tank.

3. When it doesnt work.
Sometimes too many bubbles get into the airline and there isnt enough gravity to drain the WaterLine or Fill the airline.
Workarround: I flick the Airline with my finger and it wakes up and works again.

This can be corrected by using a wider hose on the air line

do you use an airline checkvalve for that ato. If not, you might want to. I had an ato simmilar to that and I had a problem with backsiphoning. Just a suggestion. good idea though :)

Hate to break it to ya BBA, It "WAS NOT" air tight then. :smokin:
Yes There is some minor back siphoning that will ocure up your air line but like I said in my gATO instructions your airline should be bigger than your waterline. Im just Lazy.
