As far as dosing, I believe I have roughly about 90 gallons NET volume water.. help a brotha out I have decent algae growth nothing not tolerable.. to apoint.. I would say its low-med nutrient. I have not recieved my shipment in yet, but will be here tomorrow. I am doing a 30 gallon water change tonight or tomorrow afternoon. How should I start out the dosing? I also bought brightwells strontium powder due to the seachem being out of order. Scott from Aquarium Specialty told me that the brightwell is 4x more potent. Thanks bud.

I would do 3-4 capfuls a day for the first two weeks. After this period switch over to the low nutrient dosing and start up vodka. I have not used the Brightwells Strontium but I have heard that it is good stuff.

I have not really been keeping up with all this dosing stuff of MB7... low nutrient... etc etc...and vodka..well, have read up on some of the vodka stuff... but I am wanting to really study up on all this now... where can I go to read all about it... in PLAIN english for an old woman like me...without having to go back through this entire thread...

Hey Sunny. I've been following this thread and asking a few questions. I just started a 180g reef and between the main tank and the sump, I estimate that the net volume is about 198g. I have already dosed MB7 at the High Nutrient dosage for two weeks and now I'm adding it at the Low Nutrient dosage. I also started dosing vodka as well at 1.6ml a day. I was dosing MB7 at the Low Nutrient Level every week, but I'm thinking I want to start daily dosing. I calculate that I should do a daily dose of MB7 at 4 drops a day. Sound right?

After reading and following along, i have deceided that if a simple light bio load w/ a super duty protein skimmer on a small tank does not cut it....I will be inititating the Zeo method.

To get the most out of it....YES. While the MB7 alone will help, once you add in the vodka you will really start to notice the difference.

4 drops daily is good but you may need more depending on what you see in the tank. For reference, I dose 12 drops a day in about 140-160gl net. Start out with 4 and if you are not happy with the dosage then up it a drop a day until you start seeing some results.

If you start to get brown on the rocks and sandbed then you know you have dosed too much.

Oh Oh. I just started dosing MB7 this past Sunday and I've been dosing 8 capfulls daily on about 200 gallons net. Am I dosing to much. On the back it says to dose 5 ml or one capful per 25 gallons for med to high system.

You are doing the initial two week dosing so you should be fine. After two weeks switch over to the daily low dosing and start up vodka. Based on your observations you can +/- your dosages from there.

Thanks Sunny. You mention that over dosing could lead to brown on the rocks and sandbed. Just so I know, what would I be looking for in the tank to know my dosage is correct? Color, growth, clarity, etc?

sunny, is your web page up to date as far as dosing supplements? i'm at about 1ml of vodka a day and notice some brown slime on the aquarium glass alittle too quick for me. I was wondering if you are dosing 2ml or .2 ml of vodka? thanks
