Hi sonny,
Do you have a link or anymore info about baking rock? Im upgrading my tank soon and have a few apstasia around. I kill them off monthly. I'm wandering if i should just get new rock as i dont want any apstasia in my new tank. but then I dont want to start the cycle again as my tank is 3 years old and fully establish with 100's of SPS.
thanks
Aaron

Cooking your rocks may not get rid of your aptasia. The only thing that has worked for my system in the past was a Copperband Butterfly. In the the old 225gl I had a bad breakout of aptaisa and it was a pain to keep them in check. I would have to squirt feed them a kalk mixture with a syringe every few days in order to keep them from killing my SPS. One day I decided to pick up a Copperband Butterfly in order to control the aptasia. Within three days not even ONE aptasia could be found!
Even though I no longer have the Copperband, I still have no aptasia. He did that good of a job.
