NICE set up and the same size that I am planning on setting up. I have a few questions, first how much was the tanks(you can pm if you need too), also why did you go with the aquatinic t5 instead of an ATI?

Hello, initially I was looking the the 8x54W ATi fixture but after being on the waiting list forever I began to look at different options. By the time you add the bulbs there really wasn't much of a price difference between the two. I asked around concerning the Constellation fixture and after hearing many great reviews I ended up ordering it. I am very happy with the fixture. It is cool, quiet, and very well built. Not to mention it is ultra bright!!

BTW... Sonny, I ran only t5's on my previous tank, and achieved awesome color and growth.... I am a huge fan of t5's, IMO, the kz bulbs, specifically the "coral life/ red spectrum" bulbs were so positive on my corals coloration, just thought I would throw that out there....

I have heard great things about the Fiji Puple bulbs. I may give them a try in the future.

yeah, iam also on a waiting for them to be available. But have also heard great things on the aquatinic. hope fully it will be in next month from what i hear.

Well, if it takes too long you cant go wrong with the constellation, especially with the new reflectors in them.

The Fiji purples were nice, I used one out of six bulbs, tried 2, the tank seemed too pink for me. I really liked the "red spectrum" bulbs myself, obtained great growth under these lamps.....

Congrats on the tank. I am another person looking at those dementions. If possible can you pm the price on that tank for me too? I have heard nothing but good things about Miracles.

Well I do have an Ati Pro Color bulb that is pure red in color. If the growth is as you say I may have to swap out an Aquablue Special for the Pro Color.

Well this will be my second tank from Miracles, and if its anything like the first one it will be great! From the polished edges, black silicone and excellent service they cant be beat. Just let Derek know Sonny sent you and he will be sure to take of you.

Will do! Best of luck with the tank. I know it will be a hit around here!

Thanks again guys and gals!

Chris, its your fault this thread is here in the first place! :p
Your rimless tank gave me an itch I just had to scratch! :D

In terms of livestock I am think of schooling fish, Maybe chromis's, cardinal fish.

What do you guys think?

This will be a great thread to follow... I got a(nother) tank a month ago, same dimentions but less depth @ 14" tall, and I could use a couple 'simple' ideas...

Looks great Sunny. Along with GSM, we have similar tanks setups. What K temp do you think those 7 lamps will give you? I just swapped out some of my lamps for some aquascience lamps to get a little bluer. I love the color of the ATi bulbs, but I wanted to try some of the NARVA manufactured lamps to see if I could get some more output out of them by utilizing active cooling.

The bulb combo gives off a white/blue light. Best way to describe it is that it has the look and intensity of an XM 10K but with no yellow, but instead a nice hint of blue.

I think its the best color representation I have ever seen. I am very happy with the combo.

Interesting. I'll have to see how the photos turn out once you get corals/fish in the tank. I have a Procolor in my mix as well, and it definitely adds a nice "pop" to the tank inhabitants.

Well here is a shot for you lighting junkies:

Your tank is awesome, that's a given, but your stand! That's a genius stand. I love the tile design, it, together with the tank's black seams...oh my.
I'll be watching along. Thanks.
