Sorry John... But I am calling out COPPS!!!

John - Random question on something I had noticed previously on your big FOWLR tank... is there any rhyme or reason why you have two Moorish Idols in one section, and a lone Moorish Idol in the other?

Sounds like an awesome trip so far!

I'm jealous sitting here in zero degree weather as its snowing :worried:

...the Japanese guys have never seen anything like this...
:D

John.. just went thru the entire thread. Impressive to say the least!!

I have had success keeping a Regal Angel (Over 2.5 yrs) and recently add a Coral Beauty, Flame and Potters (with in last 4 months). All doing well.

Your tank has always been an inspiration and the reason for me adding Angels to my reef. Keep the updates coming!!

Not hating at all! I'm backed up with things I have to share with everyone... I just returned from a vacation to Florida with the family where I spoke to FMAS and did some diving and collecting with Julian Sprung... got a bunch of small angels! :) I'll catch up this weekend and respond to everyone... my apologies again!

On the topic of the H. bermudensis, she's doing well... but now mottled!

what caused the aberrant color in the wild? and what about captivity has caused it to darken? is it nutritional? light?

No one knows for sure. The theories that I have heard include diet. Also another common theory is that the fish acquire a benign fungus when they are young which causes the odd coloration. T
