Soulpatch's 150 SC build

I killed lights in room so mostly a camera trick. It's similar to kessil all the way in blues. Too bright for moonlighting obviously but great for supliment and to get things to pop.

Dont notice it much with the t5s on save for the corals popping a but more

So I grabbed a few things for myself and my friend grabbed quite a few more. I was holding out for more show pieces though not many show acans popped up or the price wasn't enough for me to jump. That said I grabbed the following:

Some very nice acans, particularly that first one. I'm surprised you didn't find more to catch your eye, but it happens. Wonder if they're getting more popular, so the bids were just too high.

Either way, some nice catches. Can't wait to see them settled into the tank!

They had 2 others i wanted but not fast enough. Then there were some way too expensive

Using the orange filter yes. Have to with cell phone or everything washes out blue.

While overly saturated it is pretty spot on for colors and vibrancy in the tank

Decided to also try another vendor online and ordered in this guy:

I will be splitting it with a friend but excited to add another good acan to the mix and see if this vendor can be added to my list of go to.

It is easy to quickly color up an acan for a sale with various aminos and such. Hard to keep some colors. Like pink for instance is very hard to keep on a lot of acans.

I tend to have some color shift but in quite a few cases get a few more colors out of the acans under my lighting. I have a couple that I bought as drab acans that are now rainbows..

I have one Acan frag that has a pink/mauve, green and yellow coloring, it sits under an over hanging shelf rock with no direct light. As a matter of fact he is in the full shade and it still has retained its coloring, I don't dare put him in light lol.

Mauve or deeper colors are easier to keep then something like a highlighter pink. I have one that is a struggle to keep colored up as hot pink. They like to deepen and have the colors saturate more then what we as hobbyists want.

Wow your collection of acans is awesome! Can't wait to see some pics of them all in the tank. Are you going to have them grouped together or spread across?
