sounds of the wavebox

Hello,
I installed the wavebox and apart from being satisfied with the main wavebox function :rollface: I can't help but question the roaring sound of the unit.
I noticed the "noise becoming softer" part in the manual, but still wanted to ask:
What would be the normal sound level (type of sound) in the initial use phase? It's quite loud, compared to other streams in the tank, and made by the wavebox pump. Will the worked-in unit sound like another stream, or still noticeably louder?

Just give it couple days for the pump to break in and you won't be able to hear a thing.

Also check that the pump is installed properly and the bearing bush is not loose. If it is really loud when new something is wrong, if it is just a hum it is normal and will be reduced a lot within a couple days and after 2 weeks be much quieter.

I just installed 2 waveboxes and they are completely silent, I can't hear anything I just see the wave and know they are working.
Something sounds wrong, maybe something got lodged in the shroud when packed or unpacked?

I think it depends on the unit. My wavebox has always had a slight resonance during the "on" pulse. I just keep it off at night so that you can't hear it. Otherwise you could hear it upstairs. My bedroom is directly over the living room where my tank is.
