oh well, figured someone on here mighta been in my area and needed some xtra cash.

thanks guys for replying

you only had your tank for a month, give it some time to settle in,new tanks are going to have outbreaks of algae,do your normal water changes and give it time

big changes will usually only bring on bigger problems. stick to a weekly water change of ~3 gallons (about 10%) and it will increase your chances of having success drastically, assuming youre using rodi. Don't assume you have to dose your tank when your params aren't exactly the way you would like them to be. Do not buy the red slime remover stuff, it may work temporaryily but it WILL be back.. Cyano starts up in low-flow areas so try working with your flow to solve that problem.. Did your tank cycle? you need to be telling us more if you're going to be asking for help. hope it works out, I'll subscribe to see if I can help further.

Hi, my tank is new also and i know the first month i had problems with my levels too but they have came down to where they should be now. Ive done a few 30% w/c added in a water conditioner, stress zyme, pH puffer. And also had a problem with the cyno bacteria. In talking to local s/w people..they suggest to just keep using a vacuum when i do w/c. According to what i have read..it has alot ot do with the nutrients in the water once you get it. Mine is finally somewhat under control..but I'm still plugging away at it with the vacuum. Good Luck. PS..also read it doesnt like alot of water movement...hense i have my 2 powerheads directed at the spots i had the most collection at and it hasn't gone nuts on me like before.

im in moultrie and i use ro/di and my tanks 14 months old. cycled along time ago. i have minimal corals, 2fish and al i have added to water is the DT's and i have a skimmer and change FF once a week...i can carry wate to LFS and everyone will tell me diffrent stuff i need to be adding...im just looking for a reffer who has no monetary gains invested in trying to sale me something who is knowlegable and will shoot me straight and for this i will pay them same fee the LFS charges and i'll still come out cheper in the end
