SouthDown Natural Play Sand

can anyone tell me what exact kinda i need to buy, im redoing my tank and want to do a DSB but not sure exactly how to go about it or what to buy.

Aragonite sand is considered the best. It is a fine coral sand as opposed to silica sand. You can test it by mixing it with vinegar, it should fizz if aragonite. Although opinions vary, 4-5" depth works good and you should have a lot of water movement in your tank.

Quick question. Any of you guys/gals running south down having any issues with HA? Havoc I bought a bunch last time for the setup of my 180. I am starting to get HA someone mentioned they got it running southdown. I don't think its the issue but figured I would ask.

Ive used SouthDown for a lot of years with out issue. I do however macro algea to grow, but I never had any particular issues with HA.

Im sure many can argue this on the more public forums ;)
