It is not considered polite to name a species after yourself. G. caldwelli was named for me by one of my former graduate students, Dr. Mark Erdmann. Mark had found this species in Indonesia and was in the process of naming it when he discovered that I had photographed it several years earlier in Australia.
The only species I have named was Raoulserenea pygmaea, a common small spearer from French Polynesia.
I am not a taxonomist and prefer to leave the description of new species to experts.
