Having caught and cooked well over 500 of those I have to say that they are best split then grilled with some butter, honey, seasalt, and garlic.

FYI, these live lobster are $16.99 a pound in the St. Thomas; how much is the one at the pet store?

I had a purple reef lobster I just got rid of. He went thru $200 worth of fish and shrimp before I was able to get rid of him. They have an expesnive appetite.

The lobster in the photo that I originally posted and the one in Akopley's tank are the same type, I beleive and they get BIG........

I'm also in PDX..haven't seen many other Stumptowners on here. Which store was the lobster at? The only saltwater store I've seen around here is Pets on Broadway, and I wasn't too impressed.
I don't want to hijack your thread but if you know of any reef clubs or anything around here PM me?
