Hard to tell. It looks to be in turbulent flow. Is it still not opening? Are you target feeding or broadcast feeding? If target feeding, do you turn off the flow for a short period to give it a chance to detect the food and open? How long has it stayed closed? Have you tried removing it and putting it in a tall container with lots of food in it so it's basically in a food bath to see if that gets it to open? Just suggestions.

Looks healthy still. I would follow gary's advice and see if that helps. also try feeding it something bigger if it opens. mysis once and awhile is a good thing for them.

If you have the product Selcon or a similar food soak you could try a few drops of it in the water approximately 5 minutes before you turn off the flow to target feed.

hi there

the food soak... is it not bad for the waterquality???

greetings carlo

As long as you dont over use it it will not degrade your water quality. I used it for a short period of time, but stopped due to the wide variety of things I feed my corals and fish.
