Splitting RBTA?

My first post! I been a lurker for the more part. Always been able to find a post where someone else has already asked the same question I have. That is until now....

I picked up this RBTA from the LFS 7 days ago, and as you can see it's not doing so well. Is it splitting or rotting? It's acting normal for the most part. At least I assume it is. Eats normal... stomach is in, so it doesn't appear stressed. It comes out during the day for 10 hours and when I turn on the nights lights (cree Rb) it hides in it's cave. It doesn't completely deflate, just hides. One clown fish hosts, and she is not too rough. The rip (per se) is getting deeper. The new tentacles that are forming are getting bigger and gaining more color day by day. I've never seen anything like this online.

Your thoughts....

Lights are DIY Cree Cool white and Royal Blues. The tank is a 24g Aquapod that is 2 years old.

I've had a couple of RBTA split, but they were never visible when they did and did the split in just a day or two before they reappeared. So I can't say if yours is splitting on its own or if it was damaged. And I guess it's entirely possible that even if it was damaged, it could still split and have both halves survive. The far left side is curled over so I can't see, but is there any kind of mouth developing in the left side?

Thanks for your input! The mouth is on the left side covered behind the curled portion. I have yet to see any definitive month form on the right side. With that said, the foot is secured to the opposite side of the rock, but I don’t believe the foot is splitting. It could have cut itself on the move down from when I first introduced it to the tank. It could be a stress split, since it is new to the tank. Good or bad, I'll keep posting pictures to document the progress. Thanks for your 2 cents!
