Spot Light On GHL dosing systems and uses

I was hoping to get 4 replacement tubing (PL-0586) but GHL-direct charges more than the cost of the four tubes for shipping to the US. Why isn't there a 'regular mail' option? Any other local US sellers?

The action of a peri pump is to push fluid through the pipe by a squeezing and rolling action, this then pushes the fluid along and uphill.

Michael, Im trying to get a list of stuff together before I buy my doser setup, what size tubing is recomended ??? I saw boboxx say 1/4", is the 1/4" the ID or OD measurment ??? I saw you say silicone tubing works best, so Im trying to find it, but all Ive seen so far is 3/16" diameter stuff....

Should I be looking at an industrial supply place like Grainger or something, or is this the usual silicone air tubing for aquariums I should be getting ???

boboxx, could you list how you use your two 4-pump dosing stations. what kind of duties you have assigned to them?
Thank you for always being so helpful.

Anyone using the 2 pump standalone unit for continual automatic water changes? I would like to use it in conjunction with my existing Tunze osmolator that I use for ATO. With the 2 pump unit, I would ideally like to run both pums at once so that the water lever in the sump remains unchanged by the water change operation. But I think I have read comments that running both pumps simultaneously is not possible? I guess I could use timers to have the Tunze ATO and the GHL doser on at different times? Anyone have thoughts on this?

You don't need to run them at the same time. Just calibrate the pumps so that you are taking the same amount of water out as your are putting in. If you do it in small enough amounts it won't matter what your Osmo is doing.

Thanks liver. I'll give it a try.

This may be an obvious question, but do you think I'll need a check valve or worry about siphoning if moving water up/down less than 8 feet?

I just got my 4 pump stand alone doser in this week and I started setting it up today. I can't even get the date to key in. When I move the cursor over either the month or day it jumps to another month or day other than what I'm trying to key in. Am I doing something wrong or did I get a bad unit? I'm second guessing myself about trusting this unit to dose my 120 gal frag tank.

Hi

I have bought the 4 pump (not the stand alone version, but this that will be connected on the profilux 3). Now I have the 3 canisters of the balling light system and I try to find which of the 2 tubes of the one pump is the input and which is the output. I had googled it, but I have found nothing. Please some support..

Hi

the way to tell is which way the pumps turn so if it turns anti clockwise then the right side will be the draw side

Thank you for the fast reply. 1 more question. I have read on the manual that while programming it must be assured that the pumps run for max. 15 minutes continuously, the subsequent pause must be at least as long as the previous duty cycle.

I cannot understand what you mean. ok, when I start programming it will start and I must not stop for at least 15 minutes??? What you mean about the pause and the duty cycle? Please, explain me

Thank you in advance

Christos
