Spot Light On GHL dosing systems and uses

meaning dont program the unit to run one pump for more than 15 minutes in one go, and allow 15 minutes before that same pump is programmed to come back on

Hi again

I have connected the 4 pumps on the profilux 3, at s5-s8 socket. The Com LED of the pumps unit is still off. When I enter the profilux program (on my PC) I cannot find how I can enable the pump unit, anf ofc how to program it. Some support please?

Thank you in advance

Christos

connect it to S1S4 if you have a power bar already installed then you need to first program the doser to react to an available socket for example if you have a digital power bar on s1s4 then you program the doser in the software to S7 onwards, please check the manual for digital power bar programming.

Doser function is found in the software under timers

Sorry but I didn't understand the answer.

I haven't a powerbar connected at the moment. BUT I have a 6 socket bar and I am planning to connect it next week.

My thought was: Connect the powerbat in S1S4 and the pumps in S5S8. Is it wrong?

What can I do now (only the pumps connected). Go to S1S4?

For programming I will check the user manual of Profilux 3.

Thanks a lot

depending on your firmware version you can connect digital power bar to S5S8 but to keep things more standard do the following

plug doser into s1s4
go to socket function outlet and click on program digital power bar/doser
select doser
program the doser to react to Spcket 7 onwards, the software will do the rest
press save
unplug doser from S1S4
Plug digital power bar into S1S4
Plug data lead of doser into second data socket of digital power bar
Plug power lead for doser into wall socket (not digital power bar)

you now have
digital power bar Socket 1-6
doser - socket 7 onwards depending on how many pumps

Go to socket function outlet and select socket 7 as timer 1
got to timer 1 and set up your dosing schedule.
Repeat above for other pumps socket 8 = eg timer 2 = pump2

Hi There - please can you assist me to understand this unit (I bought 2x 4 head dosing pumps) & now want to set them up (havew not tried yet LOL)

What my mind cant get around is, on my one tank, the pump will be half a meter from the tank & on the other tank about 1 & half meters from the tank. So how does the pump know that distance so to speak (i.e. if it must only dose 1ml? the tube length itself will hold 50ml?)

Hope that makes sense? Any explanation would be great please?

You prime the unit first and if you get drop back in any way then fit a check valve. ;)

The units are good up to 50 feet vertical.

OK so I finally got my dosing pump set-up & running & set all pumps onto auto-mode, dosing 7 times a day @ 0001ml per dose. My question is - will pump 1 dose 1ml then pump 2 dose 1ml, then pump 3 dose 1ml & so on OR will pump 1 dose 1ml seven times & then only move onto pump 2?

Reason for the question, is when I got up this morning to check the levels, only 1 bottled had less liquid in??? Very concerned.

Appreciate any assistance?

if you set up for dosing 7 times a day it will feed only from the pump you have set up, each pump is independant.

Hi, yes each pump is set up to dose 7x a day @ 1ml per day

What I am trying to understand is, will the routine be

> Dose 1ml 7 times from pump1 & then move onto pump 2
> OR dose 1ml from a pump 1 then 1ml from pump 2 & so on?

If set to auto dose the doser will spread out the dosing schedule evenly across the day so two pumps are never on at the same time, it is random generated.

if you want control fo each pump and when it doses and in what sequence then use manual mode.
