Sps and carbon dosing VSV method

Can we discuss VSV carbon dosing as there is very little on the internet about it. I am currently dosing prodibio did what and all the rest of there products but I really am not seeing that very clean looking algea free tank. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I did dose vodka a while back and it worked well but I always mashed to get that white stringy slime algae no matter how much I dosed or didn't dose.

Please share your carbon dosing that works for you.

I dose vinegar and love it. I dose 29 ml a day in a 80-85 gal system with a brs doser.

I only noticed stringy stuff when the dose would increase. After a couple days the tank would get used to the dose and the stringy stuff would disappear.

At my current dose I get zero excess bacterial growth and as an added benefit, my sponge growth has been incredible lately.

ive been vodka dosing for a little bit it took forever for me to hit my drop rate of 80ml but when I vut it in half I had to keep increasing my maitanece dose til I hit 60 so im now at 60ml per day til it drops back to zero

Thanks for the reply. After much reading I think I am going to stay away from sugar and just dose vodka and vinigar.

Not based on the current recommended dosing but I think I can add more just want to learn more about other carbon sources.
