Lookings amazing my friend. I can't wait for my tank to get to that stage. How long has your tank been up and running? What kind of lights do you run?

The tank has been running 10 month in this location. When i moved it here from my last place i love 95% of my sps and 70% of my zoanthids. Almost all of the zoanthids grew back in from the remaining and i had to start the sps back from frags again. All of the corals you see have been grown from frags in about the 10 months time.

I run t5 lighting. I use a 6 bulb aquaticlife t5 with 3x kz superblues 2x kz new gens and one kz Fiji purple. I dose the tank manually with my own 3 part mix that i make up.

Its 50g tank 36x18x18 with a 20g sump. I run a Bubble-Magus BM100 v2 Skimmer. It was cheap and it works amazing.

Well this tank looks familiar....nice job

a classic Freudian slip.....hahah. I assume you meant lost....but here in the SPS forum we all love our SPS. :)

Impressive Chris88!! Your corals are really taking off! What ever you are doing seems to be working in your tank! Keep it up.

I don't really run any true system, but more of a hybrid mix of things. Every now and then I will dose vinegar to drive down nutrients. While dosing vinegar I use MB7 to help with bacterial diversification. I also use the zeovit nano pack at 1/4 of their recommended dosage (cv, aa, sp, xtra). Every now and then I will dose trace elements but other than that i don’t do anything special. I also do not change the water in the tank. But I clean my poly filter pads in my sump every 3-4 days and clean my skimmer every week or two.

Nice tank! Icant wait till mine starts looking like that. I just have a bunch of baby trees :( haha

I like how ya have the zooanthids crawling up the rocks from the base like that.

1 gallon jug RO: 3 oz kent turbo calcium
1 gallon jug RO: 4 oz baked baking soda
1 gallon jug RO: 6 oz of magnesium chloride

I dose the alk and cal in equal parts, and 1 gallon of each will usually last me a week. Corals do not always grow at the same rate so I have to test at the end of each week to make sure the parameters stay in line. I aim for a dkh of 8 and cal of 420ppm. If at the end of the week the parameters are too high, I skip a day of dosing, and if they are to low I will add a bit more. Most often I am pretty darn close to what I am aiming for.
With magnesium I am not near as strict. I dose it about once a week and as long as it stays between 1100ppm and 1500ppm I am happy. I have found that the corals do not mind the ranges and don’t show any sign of stress as long as I keep it between the previously mentioned guideline.
