There are MANY very skilled and talented people at teh Waikiki aquarium that will continue to make that a wonderful place. Delbeek may have been one of the most known (along with Carlson, amongst others), but that place will not be lost without him, and I would hardlycall the Waikiki legacy "his".

Here's one of the tanks at the Maui Ocean Center, quite impressive in it's own right, however I was on the wrong islands that trip, so couldn't visit the Waikiki. I did finally manage to upload my pics
However the outdoor tanks were not full of reefs, but were impressive in their own right.

the tank inside is about 5,000-5,500 gallons, i forget which. 10 hp chiller outside. the clams are the oldest clams in captivity. >25 years, and abosolutely due the name giant clams. i think he told me 250 or 375 pounds each.

in one of those pics that clam is as big as the little kid in front of the tank. Anyone have any idea where they found the blue squamosas? Ive never seen any for sale with some of those colors they have.
