SPS domination underway

A couple of pics of Pro Corals Rainbow Acro frag I got at the end of April. It is a fast grower. probably almost an inch gained in height and another branch sprouting in just 2 1/2 months.

its the one on the left of the clean white frag plugs

Thanks

I only have the truelumen 48" blue LED strip along with my T5's. I never turn it off for my pics. Believe it or not, a lot of those pics were taken with a Droid X cell phone.

Sorry for my bad english, im from Brazil.
U mixed Led with T5?
I have 72 cree leds 250 liter reef.. 100x50x50
Im using blue 40% cool white 35% and royal blue 65%
But i lost about 6 SPS, dont know the reason, my reef are 6 month age.
Im learning how to adapt coral to led.. When the coral arrive from T5.. I need to turn down my leds.. Its like darkess

Sorry for english

Yes I have all T5's with just a small strip of LED to supplement.

I dont really have any experience with an all LED setup. All I know is that folks that were using them with just whites and blues are now trying to go with more full spectrum by adding reds, greens, and UV. And yes, more than likely you are running them to high/intense. Most folks that good results with SPS and LEDs, are running theirs at 20-40% intensity.

Honestly I really hope my Birds of Paradise looks like your birdsnest when it grows out. It grew like a week when I first got it, then just stopped. I fragged some tips in attempt to stimulate growth after switching back to T-5's. I'm hoping that after its done adjusting it starts growing like it was before.

With the T-5's, which is also what you run ... I'm hoping to get some nice symmetrical growth out of mine too!

Chris,
what kind of cleanup crew are you running? I am currently not running a very large cleanup crew. I actually had like two snails and two hermits but the snails have multiplied a bit so I have a few more smaller ones and a bunch of tiny snails. I probably need to increase the crew but not sure what to get.

I think I have about 3 hermits and 10 snails. 4 of the snails are large turbos and the rest are smaller nerites.

Nowhere near enough, but my large wrasses eat them. So I just havent added any in a long time.

Beautiful tank, and nice photos too!

You have some very nice corals, looks great!

thats a really nice tank with amazing color.

Thanks for all the comments! I appreciate it.

I had a crazy weekend with people either getting out of the hobby or moving in to town from nearby and needing temporary holding for their acros.

I scored some beautiful wrasses this weekend for cheap. Lineatus, Exquisite, and Red Velvet. They are in my 30B Frag tank until I upgrade tanks, which should be in the next 6 weeks.

I have been promised frags off of whatever I am holding for a friend, and got a couple of nice pieces from a guy that was getting out.

This is my frag tank as of right now. 30B with a 20L sump with over 80 corals in it.:hmm2: Sorry for the terrible cell phone pic

Looking good, just went through the thread, I am wanting to set up a SPS tank, getting all of my equipment ready. What would you recommend on how to start?
